Position: Mid Systems Engineer

Overview: Kreative Technologies is in search for a motivated mid-level Systems Engineer with leadership qualities to help support the Health Artifact & Image Application for the Department of Defense (DoD). The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as the candidate will be required to communicate with management and Government personnel. Candidate will be responsible for working with multiple cutting edge technologies. Candidate must participate in a team atmosphere and have the ability to research and solve problems.

Responsibilities: Performs analysis, assessment, and integration of a complex enterprise .NET Application running on a Windows Server 2012 Platform. The candidate will help support the betterment of the healthcare application by providing engineering support, maintenance, upgrades and supporting sustainment activities. The candidate will work with a team of system engineers and developers to continually sustain and improve the product. Responsibilities will include building virtual machines, installing software components, building application environments and supporting information assurance activities. Candidate must be willing to work with multiple technologies and be open to learning new technologies.

Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2012
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft IIS
• 2+ years of experience with custom scripts (batch, PowerShell)
• Working off hours (weekends) as required to support sustainment activities.


Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a DoD environment
• C# Programming Experience
• Knowledge of DoD development guidelines and protecting software against security vulnerabilities

Position: Cyber-Security Engineer

Clearance: Able to Obtain DoD Secret and/or Public Trust

Certification: CISSP and/or CISM, or Comp TIA Security+

Location: Falls Church, VA

Overview: Kreative Technologies is in search of a cyber-security engineer with extensive experience within the Department of Defense (DoD) who can work independently to perform certification and accreditation (C&A) efforts to achieve Authority to Operates (ATO) accreditations, perform risk assessments (RA) and annual reviews (AR).

Responsibilities: Candidate must possess the ability to prepare, review and critique C&A documentation for compliance with DoD policies including DoD 8500 series and NIST Special Publications. Assess program security compliance, support program briefs, and compile program security-related documentation for various programs. Candidate must posses the ability to evaluate the security posture of multiple systems and pursue application ATOs for compliancy. The candidate will assist in the preparation and revision of IA policy and guidance documents for specific cyber-security related technologies. Provide critical written and verbal analysis of systems documentation and vulnerability reports and risk assessments. Provide C&A support to include interpreting Security Technical Implementation Guidance (STIGs) evaluation for DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation (DIACAP) and Risk Management Framework (RMF). Review vulnerability assessments, system security plans, and continuity of operations Plan (COOP) artifacts for compliance. The candidate will also provide input to ad-hoc requests as well as weekly and monthly project status reports.

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience working within DoD Services or Agencies
• 4+ years of experience with writing SSPs or other security related policy documentation

• 4+ years of experience working with Windows Server operating systems
• 4+ years of experience working with computer network devices
• 4+ years of experience resolving security findings discovered on network devices and operating systems

Position: Senior UNIX Systems Engineer

Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain Position of Trust

Overview: Kreative Technologies is in search for a motivated Senior Systems Engineer with leadership qualities to help support Military Health Applications for the Department of Defense (DoD). The candidate must possess working knowledge in a variety of Information Technology (IT) infrastructures and enterprise system technologies supporting a virtual operating environment. The Senior Systems Engineer will assist in the migration and sustainment efforts for UNIX (Solaris & AIX) based computing systems in a secured environment. Candidate will contribute to and provide oversight for the Government to allow for migration of enterprise applications across data-centers. The candidate will also help identify and develop innovative solutions and approaches to address deficiencies in the infrastructure for residing applications. The primary objective for the candidate is to provide the engineering, technical and management support to the Government for the following technologies:

• IBM AIX, Oracle Solaris
• Oracle Databases
• Oracle WebLogic
• Apache Tomcat
• Active Directory

Candidates must have relevant work experience in working with complex modern Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and technology services using:

• VMware virtualization technologies (IBM PowerVM experience is a plus)
• Large Storage Area Network (SAN) implementations
• Large Database Management from a systems engineering standpoint (DBA knowledge not required)
• Multi-tiered enterprise applications
• Networking and Infrastructure services such as DNS, Active Directory (AD), SMTP, and complex multi-interface segmented network implementations
• UNIX Shell Scripts
• SSH, SCP, FTP, SFTP, VPN and other connectivity and transfer protocols
• Strong background in various Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) technologies supporting complex web-based applications
• Knowledge of UNIX-based operating platforms such as AIX, Solaris x86
• Experience with implementing network or other technologies required to support data migration and replication requirements

Core Expectations:
• Must have working knowledge in implementing complex and large IT systems that leverage relational databases
• Must have working knowledge of database technologies (Oracle & SQL Server) and file systems (JFS, ZFS, GPFS, NFS, NTFS)
• Must possess excellent communication and writing skills to facilitate communications with key external stakeholders and application owners
• Ability to efficiently work independently and within a team construct

Desired Skills & Knowledge:
• Familiarity with DoD Health Information Systems or other Health-Care Provider & Delivery applications
• Familiarity with Business Contingency Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans
• Familiarity with DoD Information Security Policies, Information Assurance practices, and Certification & Accreditation (C&A) requirements
• Familiarity with network architectures to include inter-communications between servers/systems required by applications
